Socially, the tribes are the most disadvantageous groups in living conditions. They reside in remote areas where the quality of standard of living is poor. Since they reside on hilly areas during to poor unhygienic conditions very frequently there are prone to dreadful diseases like Malaria, T.B; Viral fever and dengue. All these epidemics are more common in these areas due to their backward ness and uncivilized nature. More often heavy deaths are recorded because of poor financial position and lack of transport facility. Even there are some areas where the Journey by foot is so difficult to reach hilly areas. Even in this hi-tech age, they depend upon natural medicines which are readily available in forests. They are very superstitious and worship idols. Leaves, stems, roots and many kinds of forest products are still their livelihood. Hunting is one of their preoccupations.
Its really a biting truth that most of the tribes are still primitive and never exposed to the modern way of living. In the arena of fast growing technology, their way of living was not changed with all the knowledge they follow podu type of cultivation and grow Jowar, maize & small millets both the adults & children are acute in addictions to alcohol which are available as cheap liquors. Due to their illiteracy they never know what is civilization.
Keeping in view of the conditions of Tribes, the Society had taken a challenge step to educates all the people in Tribal area in their own language in teaching the words of God, health tips, Medical aids/ camps, demerits of alcoholism, smoking etc, and bring them to the way of salvation.
